I have many strengths, but chief among them is forgetting important things.
To wit: this afternoon is our monthly “book” club, and I had totally forgotten! It’s a seriously good thing we don’t actually read “books”.

Imaginary Interlocutor: Should I expect a bunch of hippies making sad mouth shapes about screens?
[shudders] I hope not.
We’ll avoid sentimentality, and steer toward hard questions. Lots of educators talk warmly about “nature”, and then freak out when their kids go outside and see this:
And we all do most of of living and educating inside; going outside takes time, energy, and brain cells that we could be giving to other things. When is it worth it? Why?
